Coming across the words from Heather Heyer’s last post before her death I’m reminded of Baldwin’s thoughtful exposition on the Civil Rights Movement. I’m tired of being reminded of what century and/or year we’re living in when reminded of racism. Stop ignoring it. Village Dignitary, Ivory Coast
Photographer Eliot Elisofon traveled to the Ivory Coast & Ghana, where he captured the countries’ ceremonial royal presentations. From 1970 to 1972 he followed Paramount Chief Nana Akyanfuo Akowuah Dateh II (Ghana) and Dignitary N’Goran Koffi (Ivory Coast).
